REFLECTIONS

Based on completing the exercises for this project, I felt a sense of accomplishment and growth. Studying the different perspectives—one-point, two-point, three-point and four-point—helped me understand how depth and structure are essential in creating realistic environments. These exercises challenged me to plan my compositions carefully, balancing elements to lead the viewer's eye through the artwork. Working on sky replacements also taught me how lighting and color can dramatically change a scene's mood, pushing me to pay attention to subtle details that elevate the overall atmosphere.

Through this process, I gained valuable skills in matte painting fundamentals, especially in observing and analyzing real-world scenarios to apply them in digital work. The virtual plein air exercise was particularly rewarding because it allowed me to connect with nature and use it as direct inspiration. Looking back, this experience helped me sharpen my technical and artistic skills and reminded me of the importance of patience and practice in achieving better results.
