TASKS

Task 1 (week 1) :

https://bezier.method.ac/?authuser=0

In this task, we have been asked to train our skills of using pen tool through The Bezier Game. Mr. Hafiz ask us to finish until the stage of car. In this stage, we need to make the car by using pen tool with maximum 15 nodes. Below is the screenshot of my first try.

Through this exercise, I found that I already have a basic knowledge on how to use the pen tool.

Task 2 (Week 2) :

In this task, we have been given one set of shapes, and we need to create a character by using only this 8 shapes as element. This exercise is aim to training our creativity and show our ability to create a stunning piece with limited means.

We can rotate, flip, duplicate the elements shapes and also fill the shapes with any color or gradient we want. Before I start to create my character, I draw the 8 shapes by using pen tool.
Element shapes for vormator challenge

After that, I start to create my character by using those element shapes. I didn't try to create a very complicated character because I didn't have any experience on using adobe before so I only aim to create a basic character and get the basic skills first. After I do a lot of research on google, I decide to create a hamster which is my favorite animals.
Outcome of Vormator challenge

I have use the 3rd shape to make the face of the hamster and also his ear, his hand and his nose. Besides that, i use the 1st shape to make his cheek and also his feet. The body of hamster and the melon seed he was holding is make by the 2nd shape. I have spend a lot of time on trying adjust the shape into the correct position to make the result I want. It looks a bit simple if compare to other people outcome but I was satisfied with my outcome because this is just my first try.

Task 3 (Week 3) :

In this exercise, we have been asked to adding shadow to the pear that we draw on the class and the character that we make last week. Below are the exercise of adding shadow on pear that I done on the class.

Outcome of the pear with shadow

After I done the exercise above, I have learn how to add shadow on a object. Therefore, I start to add shadow to my hamster to makes it looks more completed.

Hamster with shadow

I decide to add all the shadow and the right side so its looks like the hamster have a hard light from the left side of it.

Task 4 (Week 4) :

In this task, we have been asked to create a human silhouette drawing with a shadow by using pen tool then blend a background with the shadow. This is aim to let us more familiar with the use of pen tool and try to learn how to use the blending mode.

Outcome #1

Outcome #2

Outcome #3

As shown as above, I have create three different outcome by changing the blending mode and the picture that chosen. The outcome that I most satisfied is outcome #2 because its looks more colouful and more attractive.

Task 5 (Week 6) :

This week Mr. Hafiz ask us to create a background for the vormator card. I decide to create a cave as  background because this is how wild hamster habitat looks like. After I do the research from google, I start to create the back ground by using Adobe Illustrator.

Background for vormator

I was quite satisfied with this background especially the stone at the foreground. After I done the background of my vormator, I combined them together and adjust the color by using blending mode to let all of them looks  more consistent.
