REFLECTIONS
This module has provide practical insights into the complexities of type design, emphasizing the need for attention to detail. Exercises and feedback has helps me gain a deeper understanding of type design principles and their practical applications.
Through this module, I have observe that the iterative nature of type design, contextual application and the need for visual correction for legibility are very important. Besides that, the balance between aesthetic appeal and functional effectiveness is also one of the theme that is very important.
Through this module, I have gain more understanding on the anatomy, history and purpose of typefaces. Other than that, sketching, whether by hand or digitally also has lays the foundation for the design, while digitalization focuses on refining these sketches into coherent letterforms. The testing phase is crucial to assess readability and make necessary adjustments.
