INSTRUCTIONS


Project 1 : Prototype Design - Digital resume / CV

Objective: 

In this first part of the assignment, you will focus on creating a UI design prototype for your digital resume or curriculum vitae (CV) using prototyping software such as Adobe XD or Figma. The UI design prototype will showcase the layout, visual elements, and user interface interactions of your digital resume.

Requirements:


1. Content and Structure:

  • Prepare the content for your resume, including personal details, education, work experience, skills, projects, and other relevant sections.
  • Decide on the order and hierarchy of sections based on their importance and relevance.

2. Layout and Visual Design:

  • Design the layout of your digital resume using the chosen prototyping software. Define the placement of different sections and how they will flow together.
  • Apply a consistent visual design using typography, color palette, and appropriate spacing.

3. Sections and Organization:

  • Organize your resume into logical sections, such as "Profile," "Education," "Experience," "Skills," "Projects," and "Contact."
  • Prioritize sections based on their relevance and significance to the position you're targeting

4. Visual Elements:

  • Incorporate relevant images, icons, or placeholders that align with the content and enhance the visual appeal of your digital resume.
5. Prototype Presentation:
  • Update your e-portfolio explaining and showcasing the processes of the task.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Your UI design prototype assignment will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  • Clarity and effectiveness of the UI design, layout, and visual elements.
  • Appropriateness of the chosen typography, color palette, and imagery.

Progress

Based on the instruction that given by Mr. Shamsul, I decide to create a resume that align with the digital gaming style. First of all, I try to come out some idea by drawing sketches.



After compare all the layout, I decide to choose the sketches #1 to try to proceed to digitization by using Figma. Why I choose sketches #1 is because Mr. Shamsul suggest us can design our resume based on the specialization that we planning to choose in future. Therefore, I decide to create a digital resume that looks like entertainment style.

First, I create the prefer layout as following to my sketches by using some border.

Then, I add on the background color so that it won't looks like very simple. 

After that, I add on the information to lets my digital resume has more details.

And last, I add my profile picture and the artworks that I create on the top. This are the first version of my resume.

But based on the feedback that given by Mr. Shamsul, my resume are lack of professionality. Therefore, I have come out a new sketches which is the sketches #5 that shown above and I try to create another resume based on the previous one and the feedback given by Mr. Shamsul.

Based on the suggestion given by Mr. Shamsul, I have add the proficiency level of each software and also change the fonts.

Besides that, I also add on a portfolio section for my previous artwork. 

Then, I have rearrange my resume layout based on the sketches #5. At the end, I have create my second version digital resume.

Below are the second version of my digital resume.

General Feedback : Lack of professionality, can add on the artworks section and the proficiency level of each software. Add on more details on the experience sections.

Specific Feedback : Change the fonts and the layout because that layout are hard to code. No need to put all the things inside the border.



REFLECTIONS

    I have learn how to use Figma in this task. I never use Figma before so this is quite challenge for me to create a digital resume by using it because I don't know how to create the things that I want. But by following the instructions that given by Mr. Shamsul and the helps of my friends, I have successfully pass this challenge. Through this project I have gain more knowledge on how to use the Figma and also how to create a good resume and also a website. I was glad that I have done this project because I have learned a lot of things during this project.
