Cybernetic Me


Artist Statement : 

I have makes my self-portrait with cybernetic element and makes me looks likes mix of robot and human. This artwork has shows one of the possibilities for the future of human. I chose to make my poster in a cyberpunk style because although robots have helped us a lot in this era, cyberpunk is still a relatively advanced style, and some people will not be able to accept this style. Therefore, I think its fits well with what I want to express. No matter whether what you like is incomprehensible or too advanced for others, just be yourself.

Reflection

*Experience
          During this 14 weeks, I initially viewed it as a realm limited to Photoshop and After Effect. Beyond the collage, I also learned photo editing and how to take a nice photoshoot. Besides that I also learned how to animated the video by using After Effect. I also got into the way to arrange different element in one picture and makes it looks consistent, how to attract audience focus on what I want they focus and sending the message to audience through my artwork. Not only that, I also learned how to combine the typography together with the graphic element.

*Observation
            I was surprised how much depth there is to photography. It is not just about arrange them randomly, there is a lot to know about how there are used, the principle of photoshoot and why they looks good. 

*Findings
            This 14 weeks turned me from someone who looks into someone who create. I found that when we try to create we cannot just being creative, there is a lot of little things that we need to pay attention on it to makes our works more perfect, more satisfied. After I pass through this 14 weeks, I start to pay attention on the photography everywhere, like in poster, photo and video, where I didn't notice it before. As conclusion, I found that photography can makes send the message to audience in a different ways compare to typography, not only words can communicate with people, graphic also.
