REFLECTIONS

*Experience

During this 14 weeks, I initially viewed it as a realm limited to font selections and historical exploration. Beyond mere letterforms, I also learned type anatomy and how each little part shapes how words look. Besides that I also learned how to animated the word and how to present the meaning of the words without using any graphic element. I also got into the way tweaking how words look on a page, how to increase the readability of article and how to attract audience to read the article. Not only that, I also learned how to create an typefaces and how the elements of font affect the typefaces.

*Observation

I was surprised how much depth there is to fonts. It is not just about picking one, there is a lot to know about how there are used and why they looks good. Like what Mr. Vinod say at the beginning of class, Typography not just for designers, it can be seen in everywhere and affecting how we understand stuff everyday.

*Findings

This 14 weeks turned me from someone who reads into someone who create. I found that when we try to create we cannot just being creative, there is a lot of little things that we need to pay attention on it to makes our works more perfect, more satisfied. After I pass through this 14 weeks, I start to pay attention on the typography everywhere, like in logo, signs or poster, where I didn't notice it before. As conclusion, I found that typography can makes words communicate better and its really matter in share ideas and information toother people.
